PM Narendra Modiji launched “Aatma Nirbhar Bharat App Innovation Challenge” chance to win 20 lakh rupees
After “The Indian Government Banned 59 Chinese Apps amid LAC standoff”. The Indian government offers a new project on July 4. To develop ‘made in India’ apps.
The Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY) in partnership with Atal Innovation Mission. Released Digital India Atma Nirbhar Bharat App Innovation Challenge. For Indian tech entrepreneurs and start-ups. Launched and promoted by Prime Minister Narendra Modiji.

The Challenge is available on mygov website. The new project is under Atma Nirbhar Bharat (Self-dependant India) campaign. It is a challenge for local developers. To develop apps in eight categories. This includes social networking, e-learning, entertainment, health and wellness, and games. The final date of submission of entries is July 18. This App development Challenge includes the promotion of existing apps. Also the development of new apps.
Saturday afternoon in a tweet, Modiji said there’s immense enthusiasm. Among the tech & startup people to develop world-class apps made in India. Prime Minister Narendra Modiji said the challenge would build an “Aatmanirbhar App Ecosystem”

The challenge split into two phases. The first one for submission and the second stage for evaluation. By the jury and roll out with the market access. Three winning applications in each category will achieve a prize of ₹20 lakh, ₹15 lakh, and ₹10 lakh.
Modiji said in a LinkedIn post “The outcome of this challenge will be to give better visibility and clarity to existing Apps to achieve their goals and to create tech products to find solutions to tech conundrums with the help of mentorship, tech support, and guidance during the entire life-cycle”. Modiji also said, “Who knows, I may also use some of these apps made by you”.
The goal of this challenge is to encourage and build a strong ecosystem for Indian apps. Strengthen the vision of Modiji for developing a Digital India, and building an Atma Nirbhar Bharat. Prime Minister exchanged ideas. And expect if technology can benefit to make traditional Indian games more popular. He encouraged the tech community to take part and help create an Atma Nirbhar App Ecosystem.
